Located in East Meadow, Nassau University Medical Center is the only public safety net hospital and community health care center in Nassau County.
We are a Level I Trauma Center and a 530-bed teaching hospital.
We are seeking a well-qualified HR manager with an Employee Relations background to work onsite in our Human Resources department.
Reporting to the Director, this position will handle a variety of mid-level Human Resources functions with a strong emphasis on employee relations.
In this position you will:
-Provide coaching and consultation to employees and managers for conflict resolution.
-Coach supervisors on handling and documenting sensitive issues e.

performance concerns, including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and the separation process.
-Ensure compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and work with the Director of Labor to Conduct internal investigations investigate grievances to address employee issues and grievances promptly.
-Use data to identify and analyze employee relations trends and make recommendations to address ER trends and root causes.
-Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of HR policies and procedures to align with legal requirements.
-Other HR Generalist duties as needed.
We seek a candidate with a history of proven success in the duties listed above.
This job requires extreme confidentiality and professionalism and strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
Required
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Human Resources, Public or Business Administration, Hospital or Health Care Administration, or Psychology from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or University and four years of administrative experience in Human Resources, including one year in a health related facility; Or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Public or Business Administration, Hospital or Health Care Administration, or Psychology from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or University and five years of administrative experience in Human Resources, including one year in a health related facility; Or Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or University and six years of administrative experience in Human Resources, including one year in a health related facility; NOTE:
One additional year of general administrative experience in Human Resources beyond the noted requirements may substitute for the one-year requirement in a health-related facility.
The salary for this job is $85,000/year and includes medical, dental, life insurance, NYS Pension Plan and other excellent benefits.
You must have lived in Nassau County, NY for one year prior to hire.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
